Jack WalshManaging Director of GPM since 1979. With over forty years experience in technical management in the milling and food industries, Jack has a consumate knowledge of all aspects of Cereal Milling; including Flour, Feed, Rice and Oat milling. Widely acknowledged as an authority in the area of bulk materials handling, Jack has International experience in Milling and materials handling in Europe, Asia and the Pacific rim. Prior to joining GPM, Jack spent 15 years as General Manager Operations, Flour Milling, for Allied Mills. He was responsible for the largest production division of Flour Milling in Australia and was responsible for implementing the training programme which became Australia's first technical qualification for Millers. Jack is an active member of the Australian Technical Millers Association & the Association of Operative Millers, USA. He served alternatively as President and Treasurer of the Technical Millers Association for a period of ten years.

Bruce CowledBruce, who joined GPM in 1991, has over 30 years experience in the sales and marketing of equipment to the Feedmilling Industry, and was previously employed by Sprout-Waldron Australia (Jaybee Engineering) which now forms part of the Sprout-Matador Feed Technology Group. During his years in the industry, Bruce has been involved with providing Feedmilling customers with a complete range of engineering services from the supply of unit machines, spare parts and service advice to assistance in the development of complete feedmill projects both in Australia and overseas. Bruce has a complete overall knowledge of the feedmilling process and materials handling, and has travelled extensively to remain familiar with all the latest technology and developments in the industry, including attendance at training sessions at Sprout- Matador in Denmark. Bruce is active in the Victorian branch of the Australian Technical Millers Association, and is past Victorian and National President of the Association.

Gert FenglerA Mechanical Engineer for 32 years, Gert received his Diploma of Mechanical Engineering (Machine design) in Cologne, Germany. He has received training in various industry associated areas such as PLC Operation & Programming Basics, AutoCAD, Quality Improvement Process, Corporate Planning, Cost Control & Analysis, Hearing Protection & Noise Control, Pollution Control, Energy Management, and various PC Computer application software, such as Windows, DOS, Project Management, Harvard Graphics etc. Following his arrival in Australia some 30 years ago, Gert has held positions of Engineering Manager, Project Manager and Project Engineer for such companies as Coca-Cola Bottlers, W Pridham (Aust) and Jaybee Engineering. He has been involved in the successful design and commissioning of animal by-products rendering plants, oil-seed processing plants, malt houses, feedmills for poultry, pig, horse, sheep, fish, shrimp and mink feed, both in Australia and overseas in China, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, South Korea, The Philippines and Thailand.

Gary WhittleA qualified Flour Miller, Gary has been employed in the Cereal Milling industry for 28 years. During his 26 years with Allied Mills, (later Goodman Fielder Mills), Gary held positions in various flour mills in Australia. He has worked as Technical Manager in the Technical & Engineering Department on capital projects as well as holding Production Management positions such as Milling Manager in NSW and Western Australia. Most recently, Gary was Victorian Operations Manager at the largest and most modern flour mill in Australia at the time, the mill producing all types of flours such as Bakers, Biscuit, Noodle, Specialty, Household, Bakery Premixes and other products. During 1992-1993 Gary was in Egypt in the position of Flour Milling Adviser for the Middle East Region for the Australian Wheat Board. Gary is an active member of the Australian Technical Millers Association & the Association of Operative Millers, USA.

Peter DumyczPeter joined GPM in 1984 as part of design drafting team, and has over 20 years experience in project design, plant layout and detail drafting in the fields of materials handling, cereal milling and related industries. Previously from the U.K. where he gained ONC/HNC qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, he spent 6 years with Thomas Robinson cereal milling engineers (now Satake Australia) where he was employed in the projects department, and 2 years with a company specialising in the design and manufacture of dust collection and control equipment. His current duties include site surveys, preparation of drawings (AutoCAD), quotations and engineering data for submission to clients as well as spares sales, service and customer support. He has broad experience and a sound knowledge of engineering principles in both materials handling and cereal milling system plant design.

Brian BakerAs Chief erector for GPM, Brian has 25 years experience in plant erection and machine maintenance. He was previously employed with Henry Simons (Satake) and has a vast range of experience both in Feed and Flour Milling; from Plant installations to Maintenance programming and machine overhauling. Brian also acts as GPM's liaison with on-site sub-contractors and is responsible for installation programming both in the planning and implementation stages.

Patrick WalshPatrick represents the second generation of GPM management. He is responsible for Contractual issues, Financial control, New Business Development and co-ordinating overseas operations. With post-graduate qualifications in Finance and Administration and fifteen years experience in Sales and Marketing, Patrick has a long term commitment to the development of GPM into a multi-market leader in the cereal milling and bulk materials handling industries.

Len MerrimanWith almost 30 years experience in maintenance/service of milling, materials handling and ancillary equipment, Len provides back-up services to local clients as well as responsibility for co-ordinating installations. Len joined GPM in 1987 and is an integral part of the installation and maintenance team.

Kevin SherrieKevin recently joined GPM from Defiance Milling where he held the position of Milling Operations Manager for Australia and New Zealand. His responsibilities included Capital Appropriation Plan for Australia and New Zealand, Milling and Packing Methodology for all operations and the selection and recruitment policies for Site Managers and General Managers. Kevin has worked at every level of Flour Milling and also has experience in Rice Milling. He was involved in the company's ISO accreditation as well as marketing, sales and distribution. Other appointments included Mill Supervisor at the CSIRO Bread Research Institute. He is an active member of the Association of Technical Millers and he has attained the Advanced Milling Certificate from the City and Guilds Council in London.
